Louisiana and Kronborg
Louisiana Museum of Modern Art Kronborg Castle
1. Castle Tour of North Sealand ? 09.00-16.00 hrs. incl. lunch
The castle tour of North Sealand will take you through the fashionable resorts and exclusive residential areas, along the scenic route on the eastern coast of Denmark. You will visit the outer walls and towers of impressive Kronborg Castle (inscribed on the World ‘Heritage List’ of UNESCO), setting of Shakespeare’s play, Hamlet. Next stop is Asminderod Kro, where a delicious Danish lunch will be served.
We will also visit to the beautiful Frederiksborg Castle in the magnificent surroundings of Hillerod. Our tour here includes a visit inside the castle ? most notably the Chapel and the Knights’ Hall. The tour ends at Tivoli Congress Center.
Price: DKK 875 (117?) (incl. VAT- not refundable)

2. Roskilde ? Kings and Vikings ? 09.00-14.00 hrs. incl. lunch
The leading figures of this tour are the tough, red bearded warriors and traders who maraudered, conquered and traded with most of the maritime western Europe and their descendants, Royal or commoner. You will reach the shallow but sheltered Roskilde Fjord which was a favoured base for the Vikings. Follow the shore of the fjord to Roskilde, where you will visit the Viking Ship Museum which houses the remains of 5 Viking ships salvaged from the bed of the fjord and painstakingly preserved. Near by the Museum, The Restaurant ‘Snekken’ will serve you the lunch called ‘Viking for a day’. Afterwards a short drive will take you to the centre of Roskilde for a visit to the twin-spired Cathedral. Until the early 15th century, Roskilde was the capital of Denmark – proof of its strategic importance in the early Middle Ages – and all Danish monarchs were buried here (on ‘the World Heritage List’ of UNESCO). Although no longer the capital, Danish Kings and Queens are still laid to rest in Roskilde. The tour also includes a photo shoot of Kirkerup Church ? a beautiful contrast to the big Cathedral. The tour ends at Tivoli Congress Center.
Price: DKK 850 (114?) (incl. VAT – not refundable)

3. Karen Blixen Museum and Louisiana Art Tour ? 09.00-14.00 hrs. incl. lunch
This tour will take you to Rungstedlund which was the birthplace and family home of Karen Blixen. Here you will be able to see the authoress’ private rooms where the vast majority of her novels and other works were written. The tour will proceed to The Louisiana Museum of Modern Art which is located in northern Sealand, with a panoramic view across the Oresund to Sweden. The museum frames the sculpture park facing the sea and the interaction between art, nature and architecture is unique and relaxing. Louisiana is an international museum, with a stunning collection of modern art by many of the world’s greatest artists. The museum’s permanent collection includes more than 3.000 works and is one of the largest in Scandinavia. The tour includes lunch at Louisiana and ends at Tivoli Congress Center.
Price: DKK 850 (114?) (incl. VAT – not refundable)
